Information

What's my assessable income?

Your total assessable income is the income on which your income tax is assessed each year, before any deductions.

What are reportable fringe benefits?

Reportable fringe benefits are perks given to you by your company on top of your regular salary (such as use of a company car or free accommodation in your company's ski lodge). Your boss has to keep track of these benefits if they exceed $1,000 per year, and then work out a 'reportable fringe benefit amount' for the tax office. Ask your payroll officer if you’re unsure of how much this comes to.
